The word “Luma” comes from the concept of luminosity, meaning light or illumination. Light is often used as a symbol for knowledge, curiosity and new beginnings.
At The Luma Learners, it reflects those special moments when a child’s mind “lights up”. When children discover something new, ask a question or make sense of the world around them.

Maddi Pyke
With over 14 years of experience in the early childhood sector, I have had the privilege of working across a range of roles, gaining a deep understanding of what creates a truly high-quality early learning Service, not only for children, but for the educators who support them every day.
The Luma Learners is where children are free to be children, where learning happens through real-world experiences, and where educators are empowered to create meaningful connections and opportunities for every child.
As the Approved Provider of The Luma Learners, I play an active role in the day-to-day oversight and ongoing development of our services. I am deeply committed to ensuring that every aspect of our practice reflects the high standards of quality, care, and professionalism our children and families deserve.
I work closely with our services leadership teams to ensure each service operates at the highest standard. This includes supporting our educators, strengthening our practices, maintaining compliance, and creating a culture where quality improvement is embedded into everything we do.
The Luma learns is a place where childhood is protected, curiosity is celebrated, and children are supported to become independent thinkers and active participants in the world around them.
